Counselling, Case Management and Completing Forms

I provide a mobile social work service across the Southern suburbs of Adelaide and have more than twelve years' experience as a social worker. I provide counselling with a focus on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Depression, Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

My expertise is also focused on case management, completing forms and person-centred support. I enjoy encouraging and supporting the NDIS participant's participation in a life of their choice. I believe in choice and control and the opportunity to build on the NDIS participant's strengths and functioning to live an ordinary life.

Registered NDIS Provider

I have more than four years' experience as a registered NDIS provider and enjoy connecting and building partnerships with NDIS participants and their families and carers. The National Disability Insurance Scheme gives the participant choice and control in their life and increases their capacity to participate in the social and economic makeup of the community.

The NDIS also aims to increase the participant's independence and functioning by engaging with providers through disability support services and helping participants to live independently and achieve their goals. Providers are directed by the NDIS to reassure and build rapport with families and carers, to communicate clearly and work together to help the NDIS participant live an ordinary and meaningful life.

The NDIS provides reasonable and necessary supports which are required for the pursuit of life goals and aspirations and making sure NDIS participants participate in their community to the fullest extent possible. These supports must be good value for money and help NDIS participants living with disability to manage and enjoy their lives.

The Value of Lived Experience

My lived experience of disability helps me to build empathy, warmth, genuineness, and understanding with NDIS participants. It reinforces the social work values of building on the strengths of NDIS participants, to empower them to have choice and control in their lives and to strive for fairness and equality. I understand the participant’s needs on their journey and have an extensive knowledge of disability supports which is useful for supporting participants to achieve their goals. I have the skills and expertise to provide supports at many levels because of my accumulated knowledge and lived experience.

In my leisure time I enjoy catching up with friends, going to the gym, travelling and photography.
